Aileron ID needed, they are not mine but could be. :)

I dont know much about them, I am looking for a clue as to what they are for.

Roughly 75" long.

The more I look at it the more it looks like SBD ailerons with out the trim tabs. The angle support on the upper one is similar to what is on the SBD.

I'll tell you what I think they are, but you have to give me joint-custody if I am right!

Monetary value: Not much
Rarity/historical value: very much (well, if you're into that sort of plane)

Two questions:

1) Is the spar steel?

2) can you post a picture of the bottom side from the tip end?

Looking at them again, the ends are not blunt enough for J3
