My first Oshkosh visit was that year.

If I recall, they were highlighting the Korean and Vietnam wars. I believe that year they had 4-5 Skyraiders present.

I hope Dean Hess saw the Mustang painted in RoK colors.

Did anyone else notice how nice this restoration looked in the pic? For a restored Mustang in 1996, I'm impressed to see the pilot's seat armor/ headrest and what appears to be a gunsight. I didn't think they did restorations that authentic back then! Haha. Later pictures of the plane show what appears to be a jump seat and no gunsight in sight...no pun intended! Beautiful plane regardless. Are there any -51s flying in these markings today? For that matter, I know of Mustangs in USAAC, USAF, RAF, and RAAF schemes...are there flyers out there in other countries' liveries?
