Watching the new "American Pickers" right now. They're in Mass. and I'm flabergasted that they are buying Nate Mayo's leather flight suit and WWII navy and Korean helmets! Nate gave them to the guy they're buying from! Nate is owner of Mayocraft and recently built the replica P-26 Peashooter and many years ago restored the Collings Foundation's TBM Avenger!
The guy said he planned to give Nate the money that the Pickers gave him.
Small world!

I wish people would donate items like this to our museum. I feel like these shows are like watching grave robbers sometimes. Nothing personal, just my feeling.

I disagree. Surely by now there's some irreplaceable artifact (aviation or otherwise) that has been saved from the trash when someone saw Pickers or Pawn Stars and decided they'd try and get a few bucks for it instead.
