Wautoma, Rob; not OSH (There really is more than one airport in Wisconsin).

You must realize that a large percentage of the country's general aviation population currently is not in its home state. The average number of overall crashes and fatalities for the nation doesn't change--just the location this week.

Fly safe everybody.

In my opinion, this statement is correct, just the title slightly misses it's mark. Generally, it has not been a good year overall and it's tragic.

Very Sad Indeed,

To loose a life while the pilot is engaging a something of pure pleasure in flying is a terrible loss. I hope that the family's involed can find their way through all of this. My heartfelt condolences to them.

Paul

With the quantity of operations in the vicinity of OSH its not a terrible record for the 6 or 7 accidents posted since saturday.

A good summer weekend the nationwide accident list can reach as high as 45
