I received an email from the folks over at the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends today and they mentioned a piece coming up on PBS about the show. Any one else know any anything about it? Maybe Brad will chime in. Hopes its better than the DVD...

Dear Lynn: Angela here with the Gathering Foundation. Appreciate your posting and I am sorry that you did not enjoying the GML DVD. We tried extremely hard to tell the story of why the event was done, showcase the P-51 Mustang/ Owners and the Men and Women who flew them and especially the history of the P-51 Mustang. It showed behind the scenes as well and in-the-air footage. I think that with over 6,000 copies of the DVD sold, it has a good following.

The PBS showing is a shortened version of the DVD that we produced. PBS contacted us when they saw the DVD and wanted to do a 1-hour version for National publicized viewing - this is a great honor to the Gathering Foundation and Stallion 51 because of all the hard work that went into the event as well as producing the DVD. It gives those people who were not there a chance to see a bit of what went on during those days in 2007. PBS does this type of program where they choose one or two programs a year or every other year for national viewing such as what they are doing with the GML program.

Hope that this answers your questions about the PBS showing. Sincerely, Angela

Angela, for those of us who do not have PBS is there a way to view the program online?
I looked on the PBS website and could not find it. Any help please?
Thanks.

Dear Steve: Sorry to hear that you don't have PBS. I don't believe that they have it online but you could maybe do a search. Otherwise, you could purchase the DVD which is 2 1/2 hrs long. Its on sale after the 4th of this month. www.p51store.com

Hope that this helps. Angela
