A few shots from this past weekend's show at Barksdale AFB. Tuna flew the Heritage Flight in LSFM's Tarheel Hal, along with a pair of beautiful QF-4Es from the 82ATRS out of Tyndall AFB. LSFM's Thunderbird also put in a spirited show for the crowd.

It was a great show for sure though I wasn't anywhere to get shots like those! Though she didn't fly in the show, there was a nice B25 all the way down to the end by the B2. There was a WWII era Cessna T-50 down that way too. That's a bird you don't see very often.
Here's a few shots from the 'cheap seats'...

And as a sweetener I had this fly over our house a couple weekends ago...

I live in the pattern of the regional airport is why she had her wheels down. This is from a different tour and this is a different B17 than the airshow's.
You know, great as it was to see and hear the ole Fort rumbling over (no mistaking the sound of radials!), I wish there were more of the earlier models. That chin turret and reconfigured nose glass kind of messes up the lines of the classic B17.
