AirWolf Oil Filter on C/W R2600

Fri May 18, 2012 10:41 am

Johnie Quest at AirWolf falsely claimed to have the STC as required for our TBM Avenger flying on Limited airworthiness cert. Anybody help with paperwork - either 337, or ??? Must be at least ONE B-25 out there with this expensive, but now useless, filter.

The FAA around here will no longer issue a Field Approval on Oil Filters. It has to be done according to an STC process. It can be done as a one off STC applicable to that N Number only.
That sends it through a different approval process that an inspector at the FSDO would use.

Hey Rob:

We have knock-off copies of the Airwolf setup on our B25. If this will help, let me know. On the other hand, you could install the parts as 'owner built' installed in a/w STC # blah blah and carry on. If you do go thru the N number only STC process, I want to hear how that goes for ya, as I would do that on my C45 too.

Carry on!
