Heres my take on the excellent VJ Day display at Old Warden.

Stating off with the Chipmunk display, superbly flown by Pete Kosogorin, the minutes silence was immaculately observed in the section of the crowd I was in.

Now the rest, star of the day for me was Paul Stone in the FAA HF Sea Fury. We were promised one pass, he delivered a full display. The Lysander display was one of the more sprightly I have seen performed.

At the end of an emotional week, Steve had a good send off I think.

Superb pics, Nick; I especially liked the photo of the Sabre's dirty pass. That Lysander's wings almost look like they should be flapping!

Cheers,

Neil H.
