I know we got a Corsair that crashed up on Trail Ridge Road back in the '50's when the guy was showing off over the road and misjudged his sink rate at the 12,000 foot level and pancaked it across the road and down a gulley, apparently if you look hard enough you can still find bits and pieces of the plane.....

I guess I should mention that Trail Ridge road is in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park...

I'm surprised by the wreckage that stil exists in Guadalupe Mountains National Park of the B-24D in photo 3.
Also the 24 in Alaska....but I'm sure its not going anywhere. Pity.

A picture I took of a crashed PBY (an RCAF Canso to be more precise) in Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island, B.C. Went down in 1945.
