B-17 top wing skin has the corragation with some trailing end skin. The access doors are from the bottom of the trailing edge

B-17. The teardrop shape in the first couple photos is where engine #1 or #4 nacelle blends into the wing.

B-17G outer wing section aileron control access door assembly:
Part number 6-8946 for B-17G-1-BO to B-17G-90-BO (and equivalent)
Part number 6-8946-5 for B-17G-90-BO (and equivalent) onwards
