Wondering where the C-54 "Spirit of Freedom" is these days?

Well....its in Mena, Arkansas. Why? Because she's getting a new paint job!

It's going to take a while, so we're going to be using our manpower to continue the progress we made on the C-97 this past winter, while waiting for the -54 to be done.

However, if any of you happen to fly over Mena, shoot a photo or two if you can for me will ya?

Glad to hear she's getting a new coat of paint and you found a place to do it. Are you guys sticking with the white/light grey base or going back to the older silver scheme?

Looking forward to seeing the C-54 at either the Wisa, VA or Warriors and Warbirds events later this year.

That white/grey WAS silver! (for a week or so) before it became the chalky oil grabbing coat that was on it. No, back to silver Alumigrip.

C-97 info will be posted soon. Fluid carrying hoses are being made as i write this, and it is not impractical to think all 4 engines will be running before long.
