I'm trying to locate any surviving family members of Ens. Ernest M. Bailey Jr. Bailey was from Houston Texas, flew with VBF-10 and was KIA on a mission to the Kokubu airfield in Kyushu Japan on April 16, 1945. He was married..
A Japanese researcher has some info he would like to pass on to the family. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Bill

Here's all the available info I could locate on ancestry.com. I'll keep digging. Best Wishes.

Name: Ernest M Bailey Jr
Gender: Male
Race: White
Religion: Protestant
Cemetery Name: Texas
Disposition: According to next of kin
Service Branch: Navy
Rank: Ensign
Service Number: 419883

I also find an Ernest M. Bailey, born 16 July 1945, living in Houston as late as 1995. His son?

And more from the 1930 census. I'm guessing this is Ernest Jr. at age 6. (Assuming the census taker misspelled his name)He had an older sister...

Name: Ernest M Bailey
Gender: Male
Birth Year: abt 1893
Birthplace: Texas
Race: White
Home in 1930: Houston, Harris, Texas
Marital Status: Married
Spouse's Name: Catherine Bailey
Household Members:
Ernest M Bailey, 37
Catherine Bailey, 32
Alma L Bailey, 9
Earnest M Bailey, 6

Yep! Did a quick Google search. His widow passed last year and she did indeed give birth to another Ernest.

This keeps getting better. He's a Lutheran Pastor. Should be fairly simple to track him down now. Good luck!
