Brad:

I went to Houston and picked up my mail; your package with the South American airplane photos is now in my hands.

Thank you very much for your generous donation of these photos. You can rest assured that they will be properly credited whenever I happen to provide them -with written permission- for someone to use.

Saludos, Brad!

While we're thanking Brad P in public, I'll add that he made a really generous contribution to the research materials for my Cavalier Mustang book, which was highly appreciated.

Thanks, dude.

I'll chip in as well, Brad has provided me with several photos and documents in my research as well, and along with several other members of both WiX and FP it's time to publically thank them all for their generous efforts.....so THANKS!

Dave

Yup, Brad is one of the good guys for sure.

I did not want to embarras him in public, but the high concepts expressed about him by Gary Austin in Midland, were a very well deserved recognition to his person, as well as to his skills with aircraft.

Brad, Gary says he has tried to convince you to come to work with him at the CAF HQ, and he has a great deal of respect for you.

Now, there. You can consider yourself now, officially and publicly embarrased -go ahead, blush! : )

Saludos, Brad!

Brad?

He's short, ugly, has a bad haircut, likes oriental women in leather...oh wait, that's me.

The Sea Fury program owes Brad a debt of thanks for coming up with nice copies of all those Hawker Air Ministry manuals that the anoraks are hoarding away in dark little closets. I don't know what we would have done without Brad coming up with some very essential documentation.

Thanks bro, and next time you're in Mongolia be sure and ask if she has a sister. They may be ugly, but I bet they would keep you warm.

Yall are entirely too kind! I'm glad to help out where I can, whenever I can. It all comes out in the wash eventually!

Tulio: I'd like nothing more than to go work with Gary at Midland. He's tried his best to pry me away from the Air Force, but they just won't let go! Hopefully the job offer is still there when I retire in a few years. I don't get embarrased anymore! Once you've been arrested in foreign countries a few times, fallen off a balcony while trying to moon somebody down in Panama, and broken your ribs doing swan dives into bubble wrap, nothing much bothers you anymore!!

Dave and Randy: Glad to help when I can, hopefully I can help more in the future.

Steve: Remember if you decide to follow the suggestions over at Flypast, I've still got all the manuals for the Centaurus engine and five bladed prop! I do belive there was a sister for you in Mongolia, but it may have been a brother....they both had mustaches so it was a little hard to tell! Sort of like the red light district in Patya Beach, Thailand....but that delves into the "embarassment" that I was telling Tulio about! Lack of an adam's apple isn't always the indicator you should look for! See you at Reno!

JCW: Don't wait for the show!!! Go up to Olympia and fly the FM-2 as soon as you can! Take Jack as the photo guy! If there is a way for me to do it, I'll come out and watch you fly it. Every time I've talked to John in the last two years or so, I've dropped your name as a potential Wildcat pilot, so have other people. I want to see the results of all our work! If you need them, I've got the pilot manual and checklists here at the house!

Still working on it...I'm wrapping up the manuscript copy and have just gotten my first reviews/corrections/criticisms from early versions I gave out to people I've interviewed. I'm

shooting for a release at the Mustang Gathering in Reno, which has apparently been postponed.

So...not sure of when it'll be out...it definitely WILL be out, but the date is TBD.

Randy,

Great news, indeed. Please don't forget to let me know the date of release.

Happy landings,
