A long time coming but looking like some good news - the Port Stephens Council has stated that they will move of the Raymond Terrace Sabre jet to the nearby Fighterworld museum near RAAF Williamtown where it will be restored and overhauled for external static display out the front of the museum news reports indicate.

This will of course upset some in Raymond Terrace but it is better to bring the Sabre down off its pole, overhaul it and put it at the museum where it will be cared for better.

I recall last time i was there April 2011 after a media visit to the RAAF base, i spotted a Vampire between the museum's hangers as well sitting outside.
