Does anyone have a photo that shows the wing roundels of a Douglas Digby. Specifically looking for the underwing markings.

This is all I could find on the National Aerospace Museum. Sorry, but it doesn't show the underwing at all.

Does anyone know what color the fuselage codes were on 10 BR Sdn Digbys?

Probably light grey or off-white. This was common for early EAC aircraft, with the camouflage extending down the sides. If it is one of the few Digbys in the later scheme, with white sides, only the individual code letter would be marked, very small, dark red, and eventually removed completely.

On very early 10 (BR) aircraft, all three letters would be underlined.

My great uncle was pre war RCAF and was with #3 Bomber when it split to #10BR, & #11 BR, he was a senior fitter & rigger and was involced with upgrading from the Wapiti's to Digby's, he was in coutts when they hauled them over the the border etc. I have loads of letter from him about maintaining them, salvaging them, going up as acting aircrew etc. From the pics I have the codes were white or off white in 1940 but they were roughly and heavily used so there is some variation. He later remustered as pilot and was killed in England on Wellingtons.

Regarding placement of underwing markings on RCAF Digbys:

In the book, "Sixty Years: The RCAF and CF Air Command 1924-1984" CANAV books 1984, on page 124 there is a head-on photo of RCAF Digby s/n 740. One can clearly see the underwing roundels, applied at almost the very tips of the underwing surfaces. They appear to be the equivalent of RAF "A" roundels; however, I can't tell exactly how large they are. The camoflauge appears to be standard RAF dark earth/green over undersurface black. For their location at the extreme ends of the wings, however, the roundels appear to be fairly large.

Hope this helps to some degree!
