Newly registered but I've often come to the forum before to get good information.

Has anyone ever heard of a WWII-era data plate being made of any other material besides aluminum or stainless steel? Were there any alternative alloys or any instances where an iron alloy was used?

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.

I've seen quite a few in Brass, Aluminium and Stainless (corrosion resistant steel) .I've never seen an Iron or Ferritic data plate though....doesn't mean it didn't happen though!
