Ive been told aware that a "restoration" on the 3rd TBM Avenger that was imported into Australia but has for a while sat on ground is now restarted recently and underway in southern QLD.

It is in a hangar with it been worked on back to flying status... with no time frame given.

Interested to know the source on this one Liberator (or if you tell me, you have to shoot me), although not the greatest kept secret in the industry right now.
In a couple of weeks this one won't be such a mystery as it will appear in aviation mags and can tell you I have already done some work on this airframe. And can assume it won't take you good folk long to work it out as there are only twoTBM's currently in Aus with No.3 (VH-TBM) flown to NZ earlier this year.
Actually heres some home work. I was going to give some info but will keep the suspence a little longer and see if you good folk can work it out. I will help a little. Attached are two images of TBMs first is of the TBM that is now in NZ and the other is of the other Aus airworthy frame.

I too have been warned about asking too many questions of Liberator/Daniel at another forum

It will be excellent to see one of the ex-Searle aircraft flying. Perhaps Aussie has no military history with the type but I think enthusiasts over there would be most excited at the prospect.

Please keep us posted if you can!
