Russian/Cuban Bi-Plane?

I was surfing Google Earth checking out what was laying in the "back 40" at some Carribean airfields. This pic from Grenada shows some type of a single engine bi-plane. The markings look Russian but not being an expert on this, I figured I'd throw it out for comment. I'm speculating it's a relic from Cuba??

In the enlarged photo (follow the link) you can see "Aeroflot" on the AN-2 and "Cubana" on the AN-26.

I've spent hours using the satellite images available through Google Maps to look at Caribbean airfields. It's amazing how many old propliners are sitting derelict in the islands. Lots of DC-3 and Twin Beech types, as well as some big Dougs and many others. I imagine most of the airframes are so corroded from the salt air that they'd be worthless except as scrap metal.

Yup....did you see the Connie on the south side of BQN (Puerto Rico)?


This is Port Au Prince. I love this pic. That looks like a swimming pool at the tail end of the one plane.
