Been to the TN Aviation museum twice, but the Skyraider was gone both times. Going back to that area at the end of September, so I may try again.

If God had intended airplane engines to have horizontally-opposed cylinders, Pratt & Whitney would have built them that way.

Love the extended flight shots and being able to relax and watch the plane do its thing for a while. I refer to most planes in the feminine but that video just slapped me and demanded I say Mister.

If you go Sat. Sep 29 there is a decent chance you might see it fly. The museum is hosting a reunion for the 365th FG that day and the Thunderbolts will be flying. In the past at these events they also fly the museum's other planes.

As usual, the video is excellent Uwe.

Great work. What were you using for a camera ship?

The Skyraider always makes for some great video. Seeing the blue exhaust flames from a radial engine never gets old, either.

The Museum's SNB is normally used as the camera plane. The video credits indicate Jeff Sardella and Martin Jacobs flying it as used for this video. It appears briefly at the start and at the end.

Has there ever been mention of mounting demilled 20mm cannon in this A-1?

According to wikipedia there are 15 airworthy Skyraiders in the U.S. and I can find that only the Cavanaugh Flight Museum offers flight experiences. Am I missing others that offer flight seats? Cavanaughs has room for a right side seat plus 4 additional behind, gotta save money again, but I want to be in their A-26 someday also.

I'm only aware of 4 E/G models, the rest are single-seat or AD-4N's with the radar operator seats in the fuselage (where I doubt riders would be carried for hire). Cavanaugh offers rides as may Collings one day. The others are the former Danny Summers' bird and our own WIXer Eric Downing.
