Dave,
I have always found it very useful when compiling lists such as these to make a note of the “last noted” date. It at least gives you a clue as to what is likely to be around and what is not. It also avoids double-counting entries.
Here’s what I have:
Vampire F 3 FAM-1 / N6870D / 17016 / VP689 Mexico City (preserved)
>> Many years ago, this was stated to be “believed stored at Santa Lucia for a projected museum”. I have never seen a physical report of it, and rather doubt that it is still there.
Vampire F 3 FAM-5 / N6875D / 17040 / VP729 Army and Air Force Museum, Guadalajara (preserved)
>> l/n Sep10
Vampire F 3 FAM-10 / N6866D / 17044 / VP733 Mexico State (private)>>
>> This is the cockpit only, acquired by Mar09.
Vampire F 3 FAM-13 / N6882D / 17012 / VP685 Zapopan AB, Jalisco, Guadalajara (preserved).
>> l/n Sep10
Vampire F 3 (Cockpit section only) B.A.M. No. 1, Santa Lucia.
>> No reports. Could of course be the cockpit above with the private owner.
Vampire T 55 HQ Mexican AF, Mexico City (pole mounted)
>> No reports. If one was there, I doubt if it is now. Could be the one below.
Add
Vampire T55 15 at the Museo Temporal de la Fuerza Aerea Mexicana, B.A.M. No. 1, Santa Lucia (l/n Feb11)
