This weekend the Dutch B-25 PH-XXV (former N320SQ) made her official return into the airshow circuit in Europe at the Luchtmachtdagen ( Royal Netherlands Airforce days) at Volkel Airbase in the Netherlands.
It was her first show after 3,5 years of maintenance and lots of paperwork to get her on Dutch registration. Crew had a great time and spectators (some 220.000 of them...) were thrilled to see her back on duty!

Can someone help out with a translation of the nose art please? I mean the words, the picture is self explanatory.

Cheers,

Jeff

Here it is:
The complete outfit N5-149 resembles the Mitchell as it was stationed at the 18th sq NEIAF (Netherlands East Indies Air Force) in Batchelor Australia. This squadron was operated by Dutch military personell which escaped from the Netherlands East Indies, nowadays Indonesia, after the Japanese invasion in 1942. The squadron was joined by Australian personell and played a significant role in this corner of the Asian conflict.
The name "Sarinah" matches to the painted lady indeed and the words " Plesiran 'neer?" means much as; "do you enjoy it Sir?"
On the RH side the words " De 2-C's" is a personal note from the captain's wife of the (original) plane and refers to the first 2 letters of here name; Corry Cato.
So this is all repainted from the original bomberart of the N5-149. The original plane was taken over by the Indonesian Air Force later on and most likely scrapped in the fifties or earlier.

Kind regards,
Perry
