Here are a few of my shots, first time with my new lens ( Canon 100, 400 IS) As you can see i still have to figure out how to use it  . Was a excellent show but i hope next year when the Warbirds are fling they can cut the music off and clam up the anouncer ( as you will here when i upload the video ) one of the best things about seeing warbirds is to here the sound of the beast.

Compare to other shows like Geneseo and Thunder it wasn't all that big and could use improvement in other areas as well. BUT... it is the best thing (and only thing for that matter) in this area, so I would agree with you. Hopefully they can continue to improve.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Nice to see the B-17 shots. As mentioned in the other tread, it didn't get airborn on Sunday when I attended.

In comments on the other thread I noted the lack of music during the warbirds. Just realized why - the speakers were not working at the end of the flight line closest to the "tower" where I was standing. THANK GOD!! I didn't need music, or a commentator.

Music is definitely a topic for some feedback to the organizers. I have no problem with it during some of the aerobatic stuff, but during warbirds -- NO WAY!

I'll have to check and see if they have a place on their website to submit comments. It was a great show, and I do hope it happens next year ... just with less music.

I met some of the organizers at Uplands last Thursday, so I now have some contacts. After the last Carp Air Show Steve Tournay and I compiled a list of what went well and what didn't. I think I will compile another list like that, so feel free to email with suggestions for the list.

Regards,

Mike

Great pictures buddy, I really like your Hornet shots.

And needless to say, I'm pleased to see two very familiar Warbirds!

Hi Dave,
I'd say that I think you got the hang of that new lens pretty quick. What speed/apeture setting did you find worked best for blurring the props?

Those F-18 shots are great!

Ollie, Love your collection and nice to see them in the air on Sunday, and over with the other AC in the static display. I have some good video of your AC and will be up on my site yhis week.

I shot the AC taxing and take off at a pretty slow shutter speed anywere from 80 - 125 for the flying shots 160-200, I really wanted a lot of prop blur but with the wind and holding it by hand now i see i should have set it abit quicker or maybe i will get a mono pod for the ground shots.

The f-18 it was set to 1000, but the pictures seemed a bit dark, so maybe a little slower next time or change the ISO to 200 ( shot at 100)

I just set it at TV mode so the apeture was auto.

Need more practice, I am hopeing Brantford will be a go but the weather dosent look likr it will be good :(
