Friend told me that he heard that one of the finest Warbird events in the country, the annual WWII weekend at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading PA, has been cancelled for this year. Does anyone know for sure if this is the case? The website for the event hasn't been updated since shortly after last year's event. I've been planning to go this year so I hope the rumor is just that, a rumor.
Thanks.

I haven't heard any rumors about it being cancelled.

The website lists show dates up through June 2019. The WWII weekend page usually gets updated in the spring, it is not unusual to see the previous shows information listed through the winter.

I plan on being there for the 2013 show.

Since they just went hot with on-line registration for re-enactor participants, I doubt that they are canceling the show.

As the Airboss and Aircraft Coordinator for the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's WWII Weekend event for the last 22 years, I can assure you that the event HAS NOT and WILL NOT be canceled. I plan on being there for my 23rd straight year as Airboss and Coordinator!! I talked to our Museum President just this past Thursday and the event planning has been moving along very nicely. We have already been in touch with many Warbird operators and Museums and we plan to have another fantastic aircraft lineup again this year. We will have more to divulge after the ICAS Convention. Keep checking our website or Facebook page for more details.
