So jets were in Burma in 1945.?
Americans buried the Spitfires.?

So British were never there buring their own Spitfire propeller aircraft eh?

This is the biggest wank of journalism ive ever seen.

I'll wager the author isn't old enough to know that your home telephone used to be permanantly attached to a wall, that cars used to come with spare tires in the trunk, or that cars used to have ashtrays as standard equipment.

To be fair many of the original accounts do indeed say it was an American Engineer Unit that did the burying. And what would be strange about that? It was an Allied effort in that Theater. I have seen accounts of Aussie units salvaging American Aircraft during the war in PNG.

Here in the town I'm visiting the local US Naval Shipyard repaired British ships, and American Ships were repaired in Australia.

Jmkendall,

Hush. Please do not let actual ambiguity in the facts get in the way of journalist bashing by forum members who never, in their wildest dreams, could acquire the skills necessary to be a competent journalist.
