Anyone been by lately? Mike V. used to post some, but have not seen him around lately. Anyone know the status of the x-FAD 1919, 44-74469 N1251D airframe? I am trying to go through my mustang files and clean things up some. Have not heard any word on this project for a while, and have not been there since the summer of 03 when it was in the jigs.

Thanks,

dave

I was there a few weeks back, he and his crew are working hard on their projects. Mike has taken over the FBO on the field at Danville, so this has added some extra duties. Progress is looking fantastic as always, in the shop!

Does that mean the airframe is nearing completion?

Any new airframes in the shop?

Any updates appreciated.

Hi Dave,
Sorry for the delay. Had a bit of trouble logging in. At any rate we have 3 51 projects underway. Hoping we'll have 44-74469 ready next spring. Wiring fuselage for avionics, autopilot, and systems currently. Hoping to have on gear before the end of the year. Wing is painted and ready.
Our #2 project is 44-75452. Fuselage and other structures in fixtures. Fuselage about a day away from being finished up structurally.
#3 project is 44-73343 Seattle Miss. Website is a work in progress and we'll be having more items added soon. Thanks to DAN LINN!!!
Thanks for your interest.

Just added the photo gallery for 44-74469. The gallery for Cripes has a few photos but more will be added soon.

Mike, Dan,

Great to see Midwest Aero now has a web site with plenty of nice pictures showing high quality of workmanship.

Just noticed a typo on Mike's last name on the main page: Vadeboncouer instead of Vadeboncoeur

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Jacques.

Thanks for the update, and for the website. Nice to see that the shop is getting the recognition it deserves. I am a fan of the work done by Mike and the rest of the crew. Look forward to seeing all the resto jobs flying.

Is Cripes a Mighty Kermit Weeks' or Ken Wagnon's?
