Interesting what if model of someone idea of crossing a P-38 with a T-33 which served "in" Vietnam.

I guess based on all theories, something as exotic like this could of happened if the P-38 had survived WW2 in larger numbers alas it didnt. The A-1 and B-26 and T-28 tho served instead in the role in Vietnam.

Neat, but the engines blocked the pilots view.

The C-119 tail booms are a nice touch.

A couple of years ago I did some artwork of "what if" versions of the F-90. i.e. "what if" it had been given a real engine and actually entered service. One was a ground attack version:

Another was an ADC version that in the "what if" scenario had served through the 60's and 70's:

I also drew some "what ifs" for the B-60, including an SEA version:

Awhile back I saw a "what if?" Vietnam F7F on that website. They did a great job. The finished product looked very convincing and feasible.

The Vietnam P-38 seems a bit more far fetched in comparison, but that is still a brilliantly executed model with a great backstory by the modeller. The P-38 is one of my favourites and sometimes I wish it had a longer service life.

Love the B-60 artwork, but would suggest if you redid the artwork, you use the NB-36 cockpit profile instead of the standard B-36 "greenhouse" as Convair had indicated this cockpit design would have been the final B-60 configuration due to the much better aerodynamics.
