what ever happened to the grumman avenger that was displayed in the "bermuda triangle" exhibit or fun house at "sea world" in aurora ohio?? the aquarium / amusement park is long closed, probably 10 to 12 years now. i was told it was the real deal & not some fiberglass repro.

What I think was the cowl from the exhibit was at MAPS in 2009. I was told that the rest had been scrapped. The cowl looks to be the real deal, with fake coral encrustations. I don't know anything about the rest of the aircraft.

I've been to "Sea World" in Aurora and was sad when it closed. I also wondered whatever became of the Avenger. If memory serves correct, I thought I heard it was at MAPS? Someone out there has to know for sure. I highly doubt it was scrapped considering it was pretty much a complete aircraft. :?
