I got an email yesterday from Banaire saying they were closing it's doors. What a shame. I've picked up some good stuff from there over the years.

another casualty of our "up swinging economy" what a load of b.s. :bs: :bs: i hardly know of a pass time, hobby, or passion that isn't cost prohibitive in these times. as the saying goes "crap rolls down hill" sorry to see banaire hit with the domino affect.

I'm surprised they have held on as long as they have. Much of their T-6 stuff had been coming from a supplier that had their stock destroyed in a fire about 15 years ago. I don't think the market was ever there to support the other parts they sold. I think all the seals they sold were just repackaged commercial seals from a catalog, same for the extruded rubber products. The value they added was the secret of knowing where to get it.
