Hi,

I was sent the following email in French, and the below is the Google Translation of his message. I thought I would post this here just in case there is anyone here who knows how to help the gentleman on his search. He has a ton of details as you can see, and is looking for a photo. I have added his email address at the bottom on the off chance anyone has anything for him, and in case you would like to communicate with him directly.

Thank you!
Laura

Hello,

I am writing from France. I visited your site and especially the photographs relating to the colors of P.51 Checkertail clan. I am currently researching the crash of a village on P.51 my area June 15, 1944. During a mission strafing airfields and Pujaut Avignon in southern France (along the Rhone) three P.51 attacked a train carrying fuel for German troops. The three planes attacked at very low altitude (less than 20 m) above the village of Orsan (Gard, France) first piloted by Lieutenant ROSAR hit a power line is damaged and a house village. The second led by Lt. Reed was damaged by the cable, the pilot ejected from the aircraft by up to 1500 feet. Subsequently it was recovered by the French resistance and then joined. The third aircraft piloted by Lieutenant STRAUSS could strafe the train.
This story was somewhat forgotten in the area, so I will give a lecture on the subject in May this year. I would like to find a photograph of Lieutenant ROSAR whose body was taken by German troops. Lt. Joseph R. ROSAR was from Scranton Pennsylvania Lackawana (MIA) - (macr 6131). He drove the No. 77 P.51 C-7-42-103 NT 445 and belonged to the 319th SQ.

I send you this message as a "Bottle"!
I can send you the items on the U.S. plane crash this.

I apologize for sending you this message in French, but my english is too bad that you understand my request. Thank you for an answer even negative.
