For one, can we get the topic changed to 2010 Mustang crash at Reno? kind of scared me...

And I actually like the idea of having Thunder Mustang's or Kit Mustangs with V12's race at Reno. If they crash, build another one. It's not like you lost a actual '51 airframe.

Nothing to do with warbirds at all.

I was in the jet pits when it happened. It was an impressive accident and he was lucky to have gotten alive.

I don't understand all the sensitivity with the title of this thread. Unless you think the Reno Races were held recently, it doesn't take much to figure this out. If it scares you, don't read it.

Doesn't scare me at all.
The images and story have been recently flying around Facebook so it was the first thing I thought of when I saw this old piece of news.
My opinion is the posting is in the wrong location and should have been posted in "Air Racing, Air Show, and General Aviation" also, it is NOT a warbird, so it really shouldn't be posted in the Hangar.
I'm very glad he survived the crash.
Jerry

I know when Reno is raced - I thought it might have been an up-date to 'Galloping Ghost'

And no, it doesn't scare me - I've had the unfortunate experience of watching a friend die in an airplane.

No kidding - the knee jerking "please change the title" responses never cease to amaze me. Why people are so insistent on having all such threads marked with the date etc is very puzzling. Once you open the thread and read the content you are able to discern the details - we don't need the title to be so complete that there is no need to read the thread. For the two seconds between when you read the thread title until you are able to click on it may be a time fraught with angst and despair but once the page loads you're ok again. Lighten up people!

Putting a correct and detailed title, take what ? 10 extra seconds ?

When performing a search on a board having enough information in the title of a post to know if the post could contains valuable information or not, is relevant.

But of course Liberator/Daniel has a long history on various boards to post useless informations, more generally a simple link to youtube or facebook, with in the good days 2 lines of comments.

I wonder what is the opinion of the majority of the members of this board about this kind of post and posters ?

it is very simple why we ask to change a title, WE FLY THESE PLANES, When we see a headline like this, we wonder if someone we know just died

Totally agree with you Iclo, this seems true to form of Daniel/Liberator.I don't uderstand where he's coming from with his posts.A bit more introduction other than a sentence at most would be in order, but then I guess we are all different. :?
