T-37 and 2 T-28s up for grabs!

Mon Sep 12, 2005 12:55 pm

Looks like someone in Carson City has had it with insurance rates! There is a beautiful T-37 (a bit pricey thou) and two T-28s - one is a racer up for sale on eBay - check under the ebay motors / aircraft section.

Seems like I have seen the T-37 up before but they were asking far too much for even this example.

I have gotta find a better way to make $$

The racer T-28 looks real nice. Dumb question. Is there a T-28 race class? Also how come no ones hung a real big engine on one for unlimiteds?

Prop clearance? Weight and balance? Drag? Weak horizontal stabilizers? Appearance? (ducking) :axe:

In 1998 there was a demo T-28 race which was a lot of fun to watch, and those machines moved and sounded good. Unfortunately the following year RARA traded the T-28's off for the L-39 jet class and the T-28's haven't raced since.

granted value is agreed upon by buyer and seller and what they work out but i'm wondering what a T-37 is really worth? Courtesy has an airframe for pretty reasonable but there is a ton of work to be done - then there is this plane on eBay - which I think I have seen advertised somewhere else for 200K+

Just wondering,

If these are the same planes that I saw on the way to Reno in 2003 then they are real beauties .we stopped in Carson city to pick up our fellow Reno enthusiast who had followed us in a T-28that he was delivering for a customer of his.I saw the T-37 and one T-28,one that was painted dark navy blue. both were real purdy ! they were as immaculate as the hangar they were stored in. must be nice to have money(I wouldnt know) Tim
