I saw here a KC-97 chopped-up here on the boards last week and I thought you know…
I have 40 acres of airfield that I would like to have airframes to park. If anybody has airframes that they would like to preserve please consider VAF (ID: 5CN4) as a possible destination. VAF is a WWII era airfield 35 miles behind Santa Barbara CA in the Cuyama Valley.

Obviously a KC-97 would be a bit ambitious, but “It’s better to try than say one more goodbye.”

Best,

Jason

Its better to have them sitting in a safe place rather than in the shape of a coke can.

You got that straight!

Sometimes the cost of storage (at an airport no less) is not worth the salvage efforts for an airframe. If that becomes the case please consider VAF.

*I have enough room here for a B-36.

**Well one can hope can't one?

Best,

Jason

O.K. I have Navion 91104 in a hanger on the airfield soooo there is a cement pad / pedestal that she sat on that I can now put an airframe. (VAF is in the Cuyama Valley behind Santa Barbara CA.)

*** Does anyone have or know of a static airframe that we could save / restore??? ***

Thank You!

I didn't know the link was case sensitive. geek

I should add, if there is a group who would like to preserve / restore an airframe here I would be open to that as well.

Best,

Jason
