Hi Wixers. I am working on my 1949 Piper PA-16 Clipper Amphibian, and am in need of a couple of Stearman parts to complete a job. I have a ventral fin on the airplane that requires two tail wires that are used on the upper surface of the horizontal stabilizer of a Stearman. The two wires that are used in this location are of two different lengths, and the ones that I need are the forward ones that are about 44.5 inches long. I currently have a set of steel aerodynamic type wires and a single round type, but what I want is a pair of stainless steel aerodynamic types. I have these type wires on the other four tail surfaces, and would like to have a matched set for the ventral fin. These wires have to be rejected if there are any dings in the edges or if there is any evidence of kinking, so needless to say, I am looking for a good airworthy set. I wold also be interested in getting just one if anyone has it, as I may be able to find a match to it at a later date. Please let me know if you have any friends that have allot of Stearman parts. And yes, I am familiar with Dusters and Sprayers. Thanks Wixers.
