I understand you are flying and owning fw149.

Did you ever find a place to get a parts for it?

I don’t have a fw149, I got piaggio p149e n149ll (HB-EBV)

Did a lot of work on her in the past couple years (since I own her) , new paint job two years ago and I overhaul engine this year.

Don’t really need anything for now, except for a latch on the one of the inspection doors (1651.20) and the door (1651.030)

Also would like just to talk (skype? Phone? ) to someone who got a similar machine.

Thank You.
Sincerely
Vlad

I did try to use PM and ...

On this forum you have to earn privilege to sent PM or reply to one?

Anyway, that's what I did, I make one (door) and most likely will make a latch for another one.

I will double check in the airframe log book, but it Mach more then yours. She was a Swissair trainer and I think it's somewhere close to 8K hours.

Good think, for a few years we are been together, at each conditional and when she was in the paint shop completely open and stripped, everyone agree - very solid frame with no corrosion. So far, I have to replace a few control bearings, after endless communications, I give up to find originals and come up with idea. Prop control cable, also ... pain in the butt. Locals jerk me off for days and finally come up with +custom cable= for a cost of 1.5K $ and working time of a month, Germans was silent. Italians reply, but after a few months since I send an inquiry, they ask 300.00 $ I will keep them on file: flexballitaliana.com

Meanwhile, I used control cable from a boat place, Teleflex

Front strut begin to leak, after match communication with Oleodinamica Magnaghi ->>> http://utcaerospacesystems.com/

got original drawings with sizes ... parts are not available, so I used available O-rings (slightly modified) and come with 2 scrapers and main ring. Cleaned, flashed, installed, filled , bleed it, fill it with nitrogen. So far so good. BTW, do you have any tool's with you baby? I made the adapter to service struts, but would like to see original one.

Sincerely
Vlad

We made an adapter for the struts as well. I have a modified front wheel axle to accept a Cessna/Beech nose wheel, so that takes care of the hard to find tyres.

Maybe Macpherson or Spruce has some parts for the throttle cables.
