I'm researching a new story and currently looking for any maintenance personnel and aircrew that were assigned to the 13th Bomb Squadron from 1956-1958 while equipped with the Martin B-57B Canberra. The specific aircraft I'm researching is 53-3918.

I've sent an email through the 13th BS website but received no replies as yet.

Anyone know a former B-57B vet?

Check out the B-57 Bummers Association BLMF page on Facebook. 8th and 13th Sq B-57 vets from nam that might be of some assistance.

Oh good grief, Facebook? I've yet to get on that whole deal. Can I get on the page without joining FB myself?

Thanks ZRX61. I did get on the site but cannot contact anyone without joining FB. I also found another site and sent a message through that site, I'll see if that works before grinding my teeth and joining FB.

Did not realize that 'Bummers' were actually B-57 bomb loaders! We're brothers in arms as I'm an ANG F-16 bomb loader.

 I never heard that one. That sounds like it might refer to the ammo troops that build the bombs then bring them to us on the flightline.

I heard it in reference to those who loaded 2.75" rockets in the pods of F-89's.
