Great pics and to think that all of those aircraft made in Australia became pots and pans. No Australian built Lincoln out of 72 exist save the nose of one at Thomas Collection in Camden NSW....

One of the reasons why the Australians were so successful in Phuoc Tuy province during VN war was due in part to lessons / trade learned in counter insurgency warfare in Malaya / Borneo in the 50's and 60's

As a side note until the ADF recently withdraw from Afghanistan, the Malayan conflict was Australia's longest military campaign.

The Communist insurgency re-erupted in 1975 with the fall of SVN. The Malaysian Army/Police/Air Force were in action for another three or so years. RMAF Sabres [ex-RAAF], CL-41G's, Caribou gunships, F-5E's all in action dropping bombs, strafing etc around northern Malaya...I was there..bombs, bullets and cheap :drink3:
