...may remember that I was trying to recover a particular aircraft from Sweden. A Lancaster, that belonged to the Dambusters.

Through increasing amounts of red tape from various people saying 'get lost' trying to stop me I put the project aside, and waited for those in the know to forget. I dropped off the radar, off most of the boards including this one (because they DO look on these things, it really surprised me...) and kept quiet about my activities. Then I tried again. This time it looks as if things are going to happen.

I'll know more in about two weeks after I chat with the bloke who's going to do the actual retrieval. If he's happy, then its looking at being within a timescale of 18 months...

Are we talking bits and pieces or something more like NA337 (yes, I know the difference between a Halifax and a Lancaster...I think)

'A' for Apple came down in our surf of Castricum NL (' Dinghy' Young's a/c) and we're still trying to locate any remains. There are rumours a large part of her wing is buried under the sand.....
