Kinda belated Warbird of a different sort news.

The Battleship Texas celebrated its Centennial yesterday, she is 100 years old. I did not get to go but wish I did. Now they need to get her drydocked and then maybe put a Kingfisher replica on her!

Nathan, you're going to love the Hard Hat Tour.

You will find yourself asking over and over " who did you have to piss off to get THAT job" ! You will say it with more incredulity each time you say it !

When the man says, "see that large T handle screwdriver on the wall"? Now look down at the flush hatch in the deck. Two sailors would go down into the compartment, the hatch would be closed behind them and the large screwdriver used to seal the hatch. There are NO handles on the inside. Those two sailors were expected to continuously send the ships position during combat action. If the ship sank they would die together , sealed in the hole. As I asked " WHO'D YOU HAVE TO PISS OFF TO GET THAT JOB " ?!

Have fun ! :drink3:
