I saw this while trolling around. Looks like quite a viable project. Listed as #02270

I would say yes. They contacted me years back for P-39 parts I had, and I sent them down for their project. A bunch of great guy's. I'm sure they will do a great job restoring this F4U.

Working directly with them on this, great bunch of guys. Gary Dunn came to the US to visit several projects including our FG1-D restoration.

But when all is said and done, how much of this "restoration" will be with original parts? From my reading of the link, it appears that most basic parts (wings, fuselage) will be reproductions.

Of course. Anybody that restores things like this are pretty incredible.

Even if parts are from other sources, or newly manufactured to original specs, nothing can take away the accomplishment of rescuing a rotting wreck and turning it into a fantastic display. I particularly like the idea of rescuing the worlds oldest F-4U1 Corsair!
I wish this group the best of success!

It definitely should be listed. Many Corsairs are not flyable. This one will at the least, end up as a static display somewhere in it's future. It's been retrieved and on dry land.

Is this a trick question? I see no reason why not.
