This morning's accident run says N251BP had a "hard landing"
and ran off of runway 34 @ the Minden / Tahoe airport.
Hope everyone is OK and the airplane is repairable....

I got this info on Monday via a friend from James Zazas:

"Trouble at TARKIO MO.

Harry Barr had an engine failure on takeoff...luckily just bruised ribs
and severely broken mustang! I guess he bought another one and is fixing this one.

Thank God Harry is ok. Harry's mustang sounded good at take off, I couldn't hear his plane over the Gunfighter after Larry started his roll. Harry told me at the crash site that the engine just went cold shortly after gear up. Harry did a great job getting the plane on the ground with out slamming into a bermed up road at the end of the runway. Harry, thankfully, was out of the plane by the time I got to him. You can see the damage to the plane for yourself."

James Zasas also attached photos. I'll try to up load them tonight.

This accident happened way back in June or July. The accident that SNJ-5 mentions is a new one...

Hi All,

Glad to see the pilot got away from with with only minor issues. But on the same note....I hate to see one of the Mustangs I used to work on get bent. I worked on this one many years ago when it was "Mighty Moose" with POF here in Minnesota. Hope it didn't get too badly bent. And hope the pilot heals up very well and quickly,

Paul

Thanks for the correction!
I recieved an e-mail on Monday morning and, though I thought the photos show too many "green" trees for this time of year, I was under the impression that it had just happened recently.
Thanks for setting me stright!
Jerry
