I grew up near Wichita - when it was truly the Air Capitol of the World. I'd LOVE to be there when she flies . . . hopefully we'll get some advance notice so we can make it.

That shiny aluminum is such a big part of what makes a B-29 a B-29. I have photos my father took of me standing in front Fifi at the Hamilton Airshow in the very early '80s when she was unpainted. Will Doc eventually have to go the painted route as well? Could Fifi go back to unpainted? Does it have to do with maintaining the appearance or perhaps proactively avoiding corrosion?

Long story short... Doc sure looks good all polished up like that.
