Well Guys and the few women that visit this site, I was surfing the internet last night and stumbled across an inaccurate item on the full of mostly Bomb Squadron WIKIPEDIA - List of accidents and incidents involving military aircraft (1950–54)
19 November 1954
44-29043,[271] built as a B-25J-15-NC, and converted to navigation trainer, on an "unauthorized flight" from Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, crashes 400 yd (370 m) off shore into the Mississippi Sound, exploding near the Biloxi lighthouse.[2] The Air Force "said Saturday it appeared that only one man was aboard. The identity of the man was not known. There was no indication whether he was a member of the air force or a civilian. An air force spokesman said the body was recovered during the morning by salvage crews going through the wreckage in two feet of water about 400 yards off a resort beach. The plane exploded and the wreckage was scattered over a half mile area near the Biloxi lighthouse."[272]
Well, this naturally caused me to do a little research, and found that 44-29043, the subject aircraft could not possibly, or remotely be the aircraft destroyed in the “un-authorized flight.
Researching the Serial Number through
http://www.aviationarchaeology.com The subject ship, though at one time was infact based at Keesler with the 3500th Pilot Training Wing at Keesler, and involved in a taxi accident 3 August 1949 on the field with Harold A. Buffey as the Pilot in Command.
As the Crash of subject B-25 was reportedly on 19 November 1954 it is removed from consideration as it was reported as damaged in a Landing Accident/crash due to mechanical failure on
20 December 1954 over at Greenville Air Force Base, Mississippi while with the 3506th Flight Maintenance Squadron, 3505th Maintenance and Support Group, with William M. Walker as the Pilot in Command.
So, I made a slight correction to the Wikipedia entry.
The Wikipedia entry now reads to reflect the news article found here

I am still making an effort to identify the lost ship as reported
