I was wondering if anyone may know of any Skyraider Pilots from Korea, or Vietnam, or any Crew Members. I'm looking for these people for a possible re-union. If anyone knows these people personally, would you send me their contact info. We are looking for Pilots to tell stories, and show us photos from this time period during a Dinner and Symposium. Thanks for your time: Contact me at corsairboss@att.net

Hello Mint, I can probably come with a contact for Dave Forrest. Dave owned, restored, & flew the first privately operated/owned AD. He lives here in the Atlanta area.
Regards
Robbie :D

My father flew a tour in Skyraiders at NKP with the 1st SOS in 1971. PM with some more info on what you are looking for and I'll be happy to forward along the information to him.

Get in touch with Byron Hukee who runs the Skyraider Assn website - he'll hook you up with all kinds of contacts - Navy, USAF, Korea, Vietnam. He is an ex-NKP Spad driver and a confirmed Skyraider fanatic.

Do I smell a gathering of the Able Dogs? That would be pretty cool, I don't know what kind of draw it would have but I'd try to be there.

Skyraider Association website lists 21 flyable A-1s throughout the world, disclaimer that the info is old and out of date but a good starting point.

a great idea!!! as cool & exciting as the corsair gathering of mt comfort indianapolis a few years back. the spad rates up on the same respect level as the corsair in my book. a worthy & unique tribute to organize such an event!!!!

Danny Summers has 2 Skyraiders.
Also Bill Anders has 1 in Bellingham, Brian Reynolds
has his AD-5W in Olympia and Tillamook has that AEW
version with the funky canopy and fuselage fairing.

A couple of coats of paint for my new missiles and a little more work on my 4 oldsmobile M2 20mm cannons, and I'll be ready for a gathering.

Don't forget Rick Sharpe in Houston, Hank Avery's AD5 in Hickory NC and Jerry Yagen's AD in Virginia, Mike Schloss in New York....
