Warbird Information Exchange

There seems to be some confusion in Baugher's list of the correct BuNo for tha Bearcat N68RW. This is the one painted in early Blue Angels colors. Baugher's list has it as both 121761 and 121776. The FAA is no help, as it shows the BuNo for N68RW as 1217761, which is not possible as it's a 7-digit number, and BuNo's are still in 6 digits.

Does anyone know the correct BuNo for this Bearcat, and provide some documentation?

I came across this in my own research about two years ago. I decided that the 761 number on Baugher's list was probably incorrect; 776 seems to be right. I believe this is the former Kaman "wind machine" and was once registered as N1030B.
