Back in the day when the NMUSAF was the USAFM, (c 1972) and their bookstore was smaller than my kitchen, they had on display above the shelves (toys) a front profile wingtip to wingtip--engines--and cockpit of a C-47.

It was a 3D folded paper airplane front profile and was probably 4 feet wide when mounted on your wall. At the time I thought it was a waste of effort and why didn't they make something cooler like a B-25 or B-17....fast forward....now 40 years later and I am a rabid C-47 fan I kick myself for not buying one....probably sold for less than 5 bucks back then!

Question: Does anybody have one folded up in a box and want to get rid of it? Anybody have a similar thing featuring another plane? Would be interested to know who made it. I have posted on Fiddler's Green--the paper airplane site--with no joy.

Thanks!

That's the Alan Rose kit. It has been digitally redrawn and may (or may not) be available as a legitimate download.
