Apologies if A post already exists, but I was just curious about the status of these...

The B-17(s) that were/are in Greenland...('My Gal Sal' and 'Sooner' I believe.)

More P-38s in the ice

and what will become of Kee Bird. Makes me sick everytime I see the video......

My Gal Sal had been restored and resides in New Orleans, the Sooner is underwater in a fjord and is so far not been located. The two B-17s (Big Stoop and I believe the other wasn't named) that are with the 6 P-38s are all under the ice.

A new expedition is in progress to recover the remaining P-38s. I believe further trips postponed due to weather until next Summer.

That and from what I'm understanding there are also some issues with the aircraft that was to be used.
