Hello Everyone,

I have a problem of sorts that maybe someone here can help me with. I posted the Grumman photographs which were Tiffs on CD’s. That was somewhat easy, but I also have these, see below. I have no idea how many of these I have. My problem is, does anyone have a idea on a good relative inexpensive way to scan them. Most relate to Long Island Aviation.

This is the quality that I’m getting with a HP Scanjet G4010 which isn’t very good, it does 5 at a time. I don’t want to spend the time doing them, if they are not scanning well.

Thanks for any ideas….AJ

Epson V700 or V750. If you shop, probably around $500 give or take a bit. There are some really nice scanners out there like the Nikon, but they are no longer making them and a good used one will be about 2 to 4 times the cost of the Epson.

I have a Minolta DualScan something or another, high quality, scans six slides or negatives at a time, good resolutio, IIRC 2400dpi. EDITED: I checked the features, and the actual resolution goes up to 3200 dpi.

You are welcome to borrow it, but I cannot pay for any shipping expenses at this time. Once you are done with it, you can return it to me.

I enjoy a lot your postings on Long Island aviation, and if this helps you to achieve your goal of scanning the images, I will be more than glad to help.

Saludos,

Tulio

You can contact me via PM for further details.
