These photos belong to a fellow who is selling them on ebay ... the seller "fmtraders"... Most look to be taken shortly after the war (late 1945, 46) at NAS Columbus OH. Lots of great stuff. My dad's logbook shows entries of "displays/airshows" where a lot of different airplanes would appear for folks to see from both the US Navy and USAAF. Dad flew several different types back in those days as anyone who was either good enough or foolish enough to try to fly different types with very little instruction could do so. Some of these photos could very well be one of those "displays/airshows". Others look to be new stock stuff.

Here's all the photos in no real order for your review and added information if you have any to share. Much appreciated and a great big thanks to Lynn R. for finding them. Always very cool to find and see rare photos. And even better to share with us enthusiasts. This is what it's about for many of us.

BTW I have photos of several of these aircraft in my collections, either the same airplane or from the same outfits. I'll post them as well.

Wow! What a great collection he allowed to be shared here. Thanks for posting them here.

I am really smitten with the natural finish SBD's!

I wouldn't say "he allowed" them to be posted here. He more than likely doesn't even know there already posted all over the internet on several different sites, but then again he's selling them on ebay so I would assume he would be pleased to get them noticed by the right folks who are interested in them for purchase. (like myself)
He's got them watermarked for a reason.

FYI-

Part 7, the 5th pic/385 is one of the 180 TBY-2 Seawolfs produced by Consolidated Vultee at the Allentown plant which was originally built by Mack Truck. the plant is still standing just east of the Queen City Airport formerly Convair Field.

I vaguely recollect as a very small child standing on a mound (I think it was a bomb storage locker) along Hamilton Road about where the old viewing parking lot was (next to FlightSafety).

My earliest memory of an airplane was what I think was a Bearcat doing acro there at the airport for some sort of airshow...had to be around 1960 as my family moved there when I was 2...

I also remember some B-25s on the ramp that would fly tropical fish up to Columbus...
