Hey, I've got an idea! Let's convert it to a TF! Oh wait....someone already did. Nevermind.

And the 'haunted' C-133's in the background too. The story that I heard is that when the Foundation for Airborne Relief originally parked them at Mojave, the props weren't secured. Not sure what the setup on them was, but apparently they were free-flowing enough that the winds at Mojave would spin the props...which would 'turn' the engines...including the generators that were attached to the engines. And sometimes when the wind would blow hard enough at night the generators would spin enough to make some of the cockpit and interior lights 'flicker'. Wally McDonnell apparently finally had enough and went out there to take care of it. Not sure how. Could have been as simple as turning the switches off for all I know.

Jack's beautiful P-51D. And they made it into a TF... :(

Anyway, here is a photo of "Capt'n Jack" working on the prop of his beloved Mustang. Chino in August 1990.

I actually liked it a lot just the way it was. It was a beautiful Mustang.

Thanks for the picture -- I never met him.
