If you're not a Facebook user, you don't learn anything.... :P

Is that the aircraft that has been in the Kansas City area for decades?

If so, we've discussed it here before.

Facebook is what you make it.
The Delta has been in the KC area a long time.
I don't recall if it's been discussed here before, but I'm willing to bet none of the old threads features a recent photo of the fuselage outside basking in the Sun...

Saw the Delta last summer in Atchison, Ks. Was asked not to post pics on the internet. I am happy to see her come home to KC, she will be back in the NAHM hangar, just down a few from where she had been stored for decades. Glad to see that the great volunteers there will be able to work on this piece of history. Sorry though, because of my bad experience with the director of maint. there....have some, lets say, memories there. I hope it fares better than the attempt to get the Connie back in the air, or even get their DC-3. Who knows, maybe there is new blood in the management dept???

You misunderstood my meaning. I'm not on Facebook so when I clicked on the link, I got nothing.

You're right, it's nice to see a recent good photo of the ship.

It would be great to have some of the SE airliners fly...the Delta, the Vultee that flew back in the 70s, a Vega, an Orion (yes I know the sole survivor is in a Swiss museum), and if you're into airplanes, the Pemberton Boeing 40.
Well, at least I've seen the Boeing fly.

Well let me help you out then. Here's some of the pictures they had on their FB page.

An impressive aircraft. I'm surprised that it had two pilots (or at least space for two).

Are there wings with this as well?

I remember that there is a badly damaged Delta with the Canadian National Museum.

It looks like the wings are on a stand beside the aircraft.
Take a look at the second last picture.

This would be a magnificent machine to see fly again!
